Jones Eye Clinic is nationally known for its excellence in the areas of cataract and oculoplastic ophthalmic surgery. We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our highly skilled ambulatory surgery team in a Registered Nurse (RN) role. Opportunity exists for a full-time (30+ hrs.) or part-time with some flexibility for schedule. New grads welcome!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Multi-faceted role assisting patients during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative phase of cataract and oculoplastic patient care.
- Ideal candidate should have working knowledge of infection control and sterile field.
- Requires flexibility to serve in multiple roles of patient care in fast paced teamwork approach.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of a degree program in nursing (Associate or BSN)
- Strong knowledge of sterility and infection control
- Valid Iowa or multi-state license
- Must maintain BLS/ACLS certification
- Care of patient under moderate sedation
- IV skills
- Administration of meds
- Adaptability
- Strong communication and team cooperation
